At the end of every term, the graduates gather for a luncheon to celebrate their accomplishments. At the luncheon, the Ambassador Club advisors honor the graduating Ambassadors by recognizing them in front of their peers, and presenting them with a certificate and gift. At the Summer 2011 luncheon, Ms. Mahouski honored Autumn Heinrich and Riley McDonald (pictured left).
Cambria-Rowe has a set of graduates at the end of each term. The graduates deserve to be recognized by their peers for their dedication to their education and hard work through their 18 months at CRBC. To congratulate the graduates, the Ambassador Club members fill balloons and tie the balloons to a candy treat. Then the Ambassadors deliver the "surprise" to the graduates in their first period class (pictured right).
The CRBC campus and the Ambassador club sponsored a Penny Wars in August 2011. The goal was to contribute the most pennies in a jar for your team and sabotage the other teams by adding silver coins and dollar bills. All proceeds from the Penny Wars was given to the Johnstown Financial Literacy program and was used to buy school supplies for young students in need. The check was presented to the director of the literacy program (pictured left).
In October 2011, Cambria-Rowe partnered with the local hospital in Johnstown to raise money and awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness month. The Ambassadors at Cambria-Rowe sold pink ribbon pins, had a basket raffle, and sponsored a pink day to raise money to donate to the cancer patient center at the local hospital. Throughout the month, students were creative in their "pink thinking" including making pink cupcakes to share (pictured right).
In October 2011, the Ambassador Club sponsored a Halloween Party for the students, faculty, and staff. The Ambassador Club provided music, cookies, and drinks for the students during lunch. They also arranged a costume contest for the students, which included the categories of most creative, most scary, best couple/group, and an "other" category. Many students (and instructors) participated and it was a fun break from the normal school day (pictured left).
For Valentine's Day, the Ambassador Club sold candy grams. A candy gram is a candy bar/candy bag with a special message attached. Students purchased the candy grams to send to other students, instructors, staff members, or to take home to their loved ones. The proceeds from the candy grams were donated to a scholarship fund in honor of a Cambria-Rowe student who passed away at the age of 21 in February 2010. A bulletin board was also created in her honor for the month of February (pictured right).
